Nothing makes me more angry than when I accidently hit the back button on my mouse. I had a lot entered and I was almost finished writing when I bumped the button. Damnit.
Anyway, yesterday afternoon my Wacom Bamboo pen tablet arrived at my place of employment. I have been a photographer for the past week and a half here at work taking time to catalog all the accessories we have for our product line. I have been using a really nice Canon EOD30 Digital SLR with an external flash and umbrella setup. It has been pretty fun to say the least. I have learned a lot in my time using this camera. The Vice President, my direct boss, is an amateur photographer and he is quite knowledgeable. He has taught me a lot of things that are most definitely good to know. I took some 200 photos and anyone with knowledge of Photoshop knows that it can be pretty painstaking process to edit the backgrounds out of the photos, even if they are taken with a neutral white backdrop. So I was able to talk my bosses into letting me borrow the company credit card to make the aforementioned purchase. And what a good purchase it has turned out to be. I even talked them into buying one for me at home (!).

I messed around with the thing all day yesterday with my buddy at work. Her and I had a blast with the thing. After work, I decided I'd bring it home. I have a pretty good setup at work that includes a 22 inch widescreen monitor, but it is nothing compared to a 40 inch HD Sony. These pen tablets are meant for big screens. I seriously love my Bamboo pen tablet. The thing has been a godsend for editing all these photos I have. I even used the thing to sign my name, as seen above with the new header. And last night before bed, I started a huge drawing to be used as a desktop background for my television/computer monitor. I have been having a whole lot of fun with the thing.
Today I brought the sails in for my sailboat. I originally thought the canvas we had would work just fine, but as it turns out it is too heavy. After a little research and looking around the warehouse, I decided to use a lightweight nylon blend fabric. One side of the fabric is black while the reverse is silver. I think it is going to look pretty slick when everything is all said and done. I am so happy I went in on the boat with my father. Best part about these new sails I am having made is the fact that they aren't going to cost me a penny. The perks of this job.
I really look forward to being able to leave work on a Friday and head to Sandusky Bay to my(!) boat. I have been trying to get out of the house more often and this is going to be the perfect way to do so. I can't wait to take the boat out on the lake and spend an entire day out. I can't wait to take a few bottles of wine out and sip on wine while the sun sets. Gay, I know, but I am really looking forward to it all. I have been wanting to own a sail boat since my dad started talking about it when I was about ten. He's wanted to sail forever, but both our dreams have finally became a reality. God damn, I can't wait for next spring and summer. It is going to be a blast. I will have something to do pretty much every weekend and I am super pumped.
Man oh man. And I am super excited for this weekend. Saturday should be some fun. I get to see some folks from Columbus that I haven't seen in a very long time. I look forward to the quality talks with my dear friend Corey. And next week should be interesting too. I'm hanging out with my work buddy:) And next weekend is the first party at our new house. We'll also have our other two roommates living with us. Holy fuck I miss my cousin. It is going to be awesome living with him. It has been on my list of things to do before I die for a very long time.
And music, you ask? What have I been listening to as of lately? A whole lot of Spoon with a dash of Black Mountain. I tried for Ben Kweller the other day but it made my mind go places it doesn't belong. He's got a new album coming out soon that is going to be like a real old Western movie. I look forward to that because his old stuff is very hard to listen to now a days.
Over and out for now.
